EFT Therapy and Elephants

How do you eat an elephant?

That’s easy: the same way you do Emotional Freedom Technique – one bite at a time!

It is easy to get overwhelmed and filled with anxiety, sitting with knife and fork in front of that elephant on your plate. It is even easier to feel the same way about getting started to do something to give you stress relief from your negative with EFT. It seems like a daunting task to tap and transform the endless chorus of negative self-talk of a lifetime; perhaps more overwhelming than sitting down to eat an elephant.

Many people who start with Emotional Freedom Technique are discouraged at first because they see the task as very difficult and prolonged. Sensing the size, age and complexity of their many personal issues, they buckle just thinking about the work needed to get ahead of it all. However, EFT therapy doesn’t really work that way.

Eating an elephant slows you down after a while, because you feel stuffed and uncomfortable. Besides that, you would soon be bored eating the same thing all the time. You turn into a grouchy person with bad gas.

Tapping with EFT therapy speeds you up, and you are energized as you continue to make progress. The reasons for this are several:

  1. Your EFT therapy skill increases with time, and your progress increases too.
  2. Your enthusiasm increases as you feel and experience progress with huge problems.
  3. Your confidence increases as you understand the EFT process.
  4. Your love and tolerance for yourself increases as a result of your tapping on acupressure points, and your mood in general is vastly improved.
  5. Your emotional burden is lightened over time, and you feel better about more things than you actually thought were bothering you.
  6. As progress is made after tapping on certain issues and challenges, related and similar issues are reduced without even being tapped on.
  7. The cumulative effect of tapping is that your life improves; you find yourself happier, more relaxed and better able to love yourself and others.

Without a doubt, there is a lot of time and effort required to change a life with EFT, but not as much as you would think based on the huge accomplishments you will soon make. Be optimistic and enter into this process with a happy heart because you will soon be the better person you want to be.

It turns out that doing Emotional Freedom Technique and taking control of your negative emotions is easier and less fattening than eating an elephant.
